With Cheryl Louise Humprheys embossed paper offers endless possibilities because embossed paper is her thing. She uses that technique like one uses a pen to write. It sounds easy to her when it is so hard because the paper is fragile, there is no way to go back in case of error. The result is very nice, delicate. For this exhibition Cheryl Louise Humphreys introduces some color with paper she dyed herself. It enlarges her possibilities and allows to go deeper in her Zen narrative. For example when you look at the large composition “UNIFIED FIELD” (below) with literally good vibes, it feels like you can enter a certain level meditation. So, take a big breathe and go with it.
