When paint meets with sculpture
Vanessa Prager chose to paint in thick to better show the fleshy sensuality of a female body. Each piece of flesh is made with multiple thick and colorful brushstrokes. It could be Renoir paintings seen with a magnifying glass. The apparent confusion at first sight forces to focus more on the details of the painting. Then it’s like to open a Pandora box, it is then an explosion of multiple combinations of colors, energetic gestures that interlock and overlap. It’s a bottomless pit of sensations
