Ombres blanches (White Shadows)
is the new title of excellent ultimate French painter, Marc Desgrandchamps.

 

 

With his same washy oil paint style that makes him so unique, Marc Desgrandchamps continues his very personal “rêveries” of women who walk though the canvas. That recurrent woman on the canvas is as French poet Verlaine wrote “Ni tout à fait la même ni tout à fait une autre” (Not quite the same nor quite another).

No doubt that series is a very good one. A very “bon cru” as we say for wine. Mr Desgranchamps is one of our best French painter.
